The Policy: Unlike advertising emails, you can share important learning resources with your students through all educational notifications. Please be aware that all external links are acceptable in educational announcements as long as they exclusively go to publicly available, free educational materials and not advertisements.
You have the option not to direct students from Thkee to other promotional websites, where they would be required to provide their email address in order to access course materials, receive coupon codes, or be prompted to purchase a Thkee course off-site.
Note: Please be aware that no external link in your educational announcement may ask students to purchase anything or divulge personal information; all links must offer free educational content. Before continuing, kindly make sure this is the case or delete the link.

-
If your link does NOT lead to a free educational content (i.e., it is actually promotional in nature), please make sure to remove the link and then proceed. However, if we eventually find that your educational announcements violate this policy, you run a high risk of having your messaging privileges suspended and/or having your course removed from the site, as per Thkee’s Community Guidelines.
-
If your link does lead to educational content, and you believe you received a warning error, then you do not need to edit your text and may proceed.

| √ Allowed | X Not Allowed |
|
Links to free, reputable, third-party articles. |
Links that require students to register or give contact details before they can read the article in its entirety. Links to these types of "squeeze pages" are strictly not allowed. |
|
Links to your personal blog are okay as long as students are able to consume the entire article for free, without having to give any personal details. |
Links to paid content, including third-party book or product recommendations, are strictly not allowed in educational announcements. Instead, you may add these links in the "Supplemental Materials" section of your lecture, or add an article lecture at the end of your course that covers supplemental materials. |
It is okay to get a warning because nobody is perfect, we all commit mistakes, but repeated violations of this policy or others may result in feature or account suspension, and eventually the removal of your course from the marketplace as per Thkee’s Community Guidelines. Always remember that this is a partnership, therefore, if you have any questions at all or if you see something odd that runs afoul of these guidelines, please let us know by contacting our support team.
