An algorithm is used to choose course reviews for Featured Reviews. It is beneficial to highlight a student's positive experience with the course in order to attract potential students to enroll.
The review will be placed above other evaluations that each student has submitted in the "Featured Review" section of the course landing page.
Please remember that only courses that speak Arabic will receive Featured Reviews during the program's initial testing period. Eventually, though, we also hope to add Featured Reviews to all qualifying courses that do not speak Arabic.
Providing Feedback on Featured Reviews
When a course gets a Featured Review, instructors will see a notification in the Instructor Dashboard's Reviews area. Your comments regarding the Featured Review program or the selected review itself can be made in this section.
Please remember that instructors are unable to directly choose or request which reviews should be published as these choices are made algorithmically. This is done so that potential students can see objectively why the course achieved such a high rating.
Review Requirements
The prerequisites for the showing of Featured Reviews are outlined below. Please remember that this is just meant to provide some insight into the criteria used to determine Featured Reviews; it is by no means a full list of reviews and course requirements.

For a course to appear in a Featured Review, our algorithm needs to identify at least 5 eligible reviews for the course.

Reviews with a rating of 4.5 or higher are considered eligible. In addition, the review must be no older than two years and the user submitting it must have finished at least 30% of the course.
As soon as courses acquire qualifying reviews, they will be added as Featured Reviews. Going forward, our team will keep testing the Featured Reviews program and make necessary improvements.
