Courses must include at least five lectures and thirty minutes of video content in order to be authorized for the Thkee marketplace. The system will automatically determine how long each video lecture is when you upload them and include them in the course curriculum.
Please be aware of:
- The lectures need to be published to allow the system to recognize and determine the duration of your videos. Discover how to create and publish lectures.
- The maximum video duration for free courses is 2 hours.
Where the course length can be viewed
There are two places where the duration of your course is mentioned.
You can hover over the course card, as seen below, to see how long the course is.
The course landing page displays the approximate duration of the on-demand videos, as illustrated below:
How each lecture type's course time is determined
The standards that follow are used to compute the length of a course, as indicated in the Course Content section of the course landing page:
|
Curriculum Item |
Time |
|
Lectures that contain Article |
Every 240 words, one minute |
|
Lectures that contain Video |
The duration of the video |
|
Video & Mashup Lectures |
The length of the video that is part of the mashup |
|
Assignments |
The length of the video will be added to the course time if it is included in the assignment's instruction section. |
Please be aware that these curriculum components do not count against the length of the course because the time it takes a student to complete quizzes, practice exams, or coding exercises may vary.
