For a variety of reasons, each Thkee instructor is free to choose to delete their course from the marketplace and stop accepting new students. For instance, while you make the required changes to the course, you might want to temporarily prevent prospective students from enrolling in it. Or, just in case, you decide that since you are developing a new, updated course, you would like to permanently close the course to new enrollments.
This article describes how instructors can remove or republish courses at their discretion.
- Please be aware that courses that have students registered cannot be canceled in order to maintain the lifetime access promise that Thkee provides.
How to unpublish a course
Once the course has been unpublished, it will no longer be available for purchase and students will not be able to enroll. Nonetheless, existing students in your course might still be able to access it.
You can easily unpublish a course that you have published by following the simple instructions listed below:
- To access Course Status, click the gear icon located at the upper right corner of your screen and scroll down.
-
Click the Unpublish button.
-
To confirm your choice to have your course unpublished, click yes.
How to republish a course
An unpublished course can be published again whenever you'd like. To republish your course, please navigate to the course management page and select Republish Course from the menu on the left.
Clicking Republish Course will cause your course to be automatically added back to our marketplace.
How to delete a course
Only in the event that no students are enrolled can a course be deleted. Furthermore, to maintain the lifetime access guaranteed to enrolled students, you are prohibited from removing or unpublishing sections of the original course's lectures in order to minimize the amount of content. A breach of our Terms of Use would result from doing this.
- If no students are enrolled, you can remove your course from the marketplace because removing a course from the marketplace stops new students from enrolling.
Please be aware that once a course is deleted, it cannot be recovered. All course materials, including conversations and related files, are permanently lost. Please do the simple actions listed below if you would like to remove a course:
-
To access Course Status, click the gear icon located at the upper right corner of your screen and scroll down.
-
Then click the Delete button.
-
To proceed with the deletion of your course, click the yes button.
