Including a multiple-choice exam in your course allows students to check their comprehension of the information as they study. You can include a quiz directly in the course curriculum, and it will display in the course overview, so potential students can see it as part of the course.
Creating a Quiz
1. Navigate to the Curriculum page of your course.
2. Click the +Add New icon that appears and then click the Quiz button then click Next.
3. Make sure to name the quiz and then add a description before clicking the Add Quiz button again.
Adding Questions
After creating a new quiz, it is time to add multiple-choice questions.
- Click the + Add Questions button
- Enter the possible answers for the answers to the question you have provided. You can add up to 15 choices.
- Indicate the correct answer by pressing the bubble next to one of the multiple choices.

Related Lectures
To assist all students, you can link a quiz to a certain lesson that you wish. A linked lecture allows a student to return to a previous lecture and revisit the topic. Make sure you select a Relevant Lecture from the dropdown menu under relevant Lecture. Once a student submits their answer, the associated lecture will appear.
Editing a Quiz
Quizzes can be edited at any time you want.
- Click on the Edit button on the right-hand side to modify quiz questions.
- Click Delete - The trashcan icon will permanently erase a quiz question.
- Move - The icon with the three lines will allow you to drag and drop questions.
Previewing and Publishing Your Quiz
Make sure to click Save to add it to your course when you are done writing the quiz. You can also preview the quiz as a student as much as you want. You will not be able to submit responses, but you can see what the quiz will look like visually when students are taking the course.
